Jamie Fraley's disappearance

On April 8, 2008, Jamie Fraley, 22, from Gastonia, North Carolina, told a friend she was heading to the hospital for the third time in 24 hours due to a stomach flu. She mentioned someone was picking her up, but never identified them. Fraley never arrived at the hospital, and her cellphone was later found with no useful leads. Investigators initially focused on Ricky Simonds Sr., her fiancé's father, who had a criminal past and had driven her to the hospital earlier that day. However, Simonds Sr. died unexpectedly two months later. Fraley's disappearance remains unsolved, with theories pointing to foul play by Simonds Sr., her bipolar disorder possibly influencing her actions, or involvement by an unknown person she knew.
